About Us
The Prairie Rock and Gem Society, a not-for-profit society that was founded in 1955, holds regular meetings on the second Wednesday of each month from September through to June at 7:30 PM at the Regina Senior Citizens' Centre, 2134 Winnipeg Street, Regina, SK S4P 3X6. Guests may attend two meetings, before having to take out a membership.  The Prairie Rock and Gem Show & Sale, hosted by the Club at the same venue in September is attended by dealers from Western Canada, and provides an opportunity for members to display their treasures and workmanship.

The Prairie Rock and Gem Society organizes occasional field trips to collecting localities in Saskatchewan or sometimes further afield in Canada and the United States and also holds regular auctions that include rough rock or gem material, finished items of jewelry and also equipment.  At meetings there are ample opportunities for members to discuss their latest finds and exchange ideas on methods of perfecting an interesting hobby.  The Society has access to a fully equipped workshop at the Seniors' Centre.  All workshops are supervised by an experienced Club member.  A small fee is levied to cover equipment maintenance costs.

The Annual General Meeting and Election of Executive is usually held on the second Wednesday in January or February.  The Christmas Party is the second Wednesday of December.
